On Tuesday, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority reported that micro-blogging website Twitter apparently blocked Pakistani accounts under the influence of Indian lobbyists.
The PTA wrote a letter to the Twitter administration after the micro-blogging website blocked more than 150 Pakistani accounts to raise voice for the Kashmiri people.
Regulatory authorities have expressed concern over the Twitter administration, PTA spokesman Tayyabah Iftikhar confirmed.
The PTA told Twitter in its letter that at least 880 users of the micro-blogging website came to it after they blocked their accounts to "assert Kashmir rights and condemn Indian forces in occupied Jammu and Kashmir" in India.
The PTA sent a list of 108 accounts to Twitter and called for the recovery of micro-blogging websites.
"The Twitter administration seems to be depriving Pakistani users of the influence of the Indian lobby," the letter wrote.
It said that such a law not only violated the fundamental rights of the user, it was also in violation of Twitter's own Community Guidelines.
